The objective of this template is to:

• Ensure the organization maintains a robust assurance plan to ensure key people, process and technical controls are independently validated
• Give the board of directors sufficient comfort that the cyber security function is fit for purpose, and key controls are in place and operate effectively
• Ensure all key assurance activities are centrally tracked, and no big ticket items are missed. The assurance calendar is also a key input into the CISOs annual budget, as the majority of assurance activities will be executed by external firms
